Cub Scout Day Camp

David has been going to Cub Scout Day Camp the past few days in Salina. He has been having a great time playing outdoors and making various crafts. He loves being a Cub Scout.

 

Remodeling Picnic

Ever since moving into our home we have been bothered by the carpet in our kitchen - honestly, who does that?

Anyway, we finally decided to go ahead and rectify the problem, so Ben has been working to tear up the carpet (which is glued down pretty well). During this process, Analeigh and Cailainn decided to have a picnic on the "new" floor.

Swimming Lessons

David and Analeigh have spent the last two weeks honing their swimming and floating skills at the pool. According to the trainers, each passed their levels. Hooray!

Happy Birthday Cailainn!

Cailainn was excited to have her wishes fulfilled today as she opened her presents this morning and found a brand new stroller for her baby dolls!

Then, in the evening, Cailainn was overjoyed to see another wish fulfilled: a butterfly cake!

Well That Was Windy...

We had some strong winds come through our area last night and blow a lot of trees and branches down. Here was the view a couple houses south of us:

We are grateful to have been able to weather the storm without much damage ourselves.

Vacation Bible School

The kids get to go to Vacation Bible School this week at the elementary school. So far it has been a lot of fun, so they are looking forward to getting to go even more this week... that, and they get free t-shirts, which is always cool. As parents, Ben and Elizabeth are most excited to see David being willing to get up and do the motions during the songs this year.

As an added bonus, Elizabeth is learning new levels of patience as she learns how to wrangle 26 children with her co-crew leader.
