Cailainn is now 15-months old. She is an adorable little girl - much like her sister. She is now able to walk, as long as someone is holding her hand.

Analeigh's Crazy Hair

Analeigh recently got a new hairdo that makes her look "funny." As she says, "It's my crazy hair." (then she laughs).

Jedi Training

David loves his lightsabers. He loves to battle with his father and sisters. However, Cailainn is still just learning, as evidenced by her decision to hold on to the blade of the lightsaber... seriously, she would have cut her hand off if these things were real.

Happy Birthday Ben's Dad

Ben's father died many years ago, when he was in college. Last year, when talking with one of his sister's she told him of how her family honors their father's birthday - with some of his favorite food items.

So today we feasted on homemade soft pretzels, orange sticks, and whoppers. The only thing we did not get was buttermilk (Ben's dad loved to drink it). Sadly, the local grocery store did not have any in stock. So Ben will buy some later this week and have the kids give it a taste.

What's That Mystery Ingredient?

Liz has taken to testing things she finds on Pinterest lately. The most recent test, which happens to be delicious, is Jell-O Frosting. That's right, frosting made from Jell-O.

Since we had the missionaries over this evening, we decided to test a marble cake with Strawberry Jell-O frosting. It was awesome! Even the elders were impressed.

Super Antenna

We admit to living frugally. Part of that means going with over-the-air television channels, rather than with cable. We have found that placing a metal hanger on the antenna works wonders for getting better reception.

However, you'd be amazed by the improvement found when you attach a plastic baby link toy through the hanger, then squeeze a rubber sheep into the link, then place that arrangement next to a bowl with another sheep:

Actually, you wouldn't be that amazed... it makes little to no difference at all. But we do thank our children for giving us something to take a look at.

Brand New Laptop

David has recently come up with his own laptop computer. Using a large book about trains, he is able to type important documents, play video games,and surf the internet.

Best of all, there is not need for an internet connection, so we don't have to worry about him inadvertently downloading any viruses.
