The Penguin

Analeigh made a penguin in her preschool class. She was very excited about it. So excited that he started taking it apart piece by piece to show us how she made it... which led to a fair amount of disappointment when she could not put it back together again.

One Hundred Days

It is amazing how the school system can make children excited about having been in class for 100 days, just by throwing a party to commemorate the occasion.

Personal History

Only 19 months old, and Cailainn is already interested in learning about herself as a baby. Now that's just adorable.

The Third Padawan

Cailainn is now thoroughly immersing herself in the world of Star Wars by climbing up on the couch to watch whatever movies her siblings pick out to watch from the series. It is amazing what good taste she appears to have been born with.

A Galaxy Not So Far Away

Last year LEGO introduced some Star Wars planet sets. You get a mini-figure, a vehicle to build, and a plastic globe planet. David currently owns four of the six (though there will be six more introduced this year, so he'll own four out of twelve). Today we decided to use some string to hang up the planets in David's bedroom. He loves it!
From left to right: Naboo, Tatooine, Endor (though it is technically the Forest Moon of Endor, as the 2013 sets include the Planet Endor), and finally the Death Star.

Snow

We had a good amount of snow with this storm. Sadly, the snow was powdery and therefore not very suitable for packing. However, after a day or so of allowing the sun to melt a bit of it, we managed just enough to be able to pack the snow into a small snow man. Hopefully we'll get a few more good snow storms to relieve our drought (and give us some decent packing snow). In the meantime, Analeigh loved it.
