Happy Birthday David!

David had himself a Star Wars-themed birthday today. He was very excited this morning to receive his very own Darth Maul lightsaber because it is double-bladed (though sometimes Darth Maul's lightsaber has been observed to have eight blades).

Thanks to his grandparents, he also received a number of new Lego Star Wars planet sets (like the ones currently hanging from his bedroom ceiling), as well as the Lego Star Wars Visual Dictionary.

Even his birthday cake came with a miniature Z-95 Headhunter on top of it.

Clone Wars Reenactments

David and Analeigh are enamored with the Star Wars: The Clone Wars episodes that Ben got for his birthday. We are frequently presented with reenactments of scenes from that period of time long ago in a galaxy far, far away. Sometimes the kids even dress up. Today, for example, Analeigh was clever in her efforts to become Aayla Secura. As you can see, she used her pajama pants to create the effect of having two "tails" coming out of her head (as Twi'leks do).

Book Fair

The elementary school hosted a buy one-get one book fair today. So the kids each got a book for themselves.

It is especially good to have books to read on days like today when it is so cold that April showers come down as April snow.

Interpretive (Soccer) Dance

Today was a cold day for playing soccer. Analeigh had to get bundled up in her purple coat to stay warm.

We would say that she even took to dancing, just to stay warm, but she does this in nearly every game:

Soccer Practice

This is what Analeigh's soccer practice looks like from the sidelines. At least one person is hoping that the weather starts warming up soon.
