The Price Is Right

As Rod Roddy, the former announcer on "The Price Is Right," would put it, we have... "A NEW CAR!" Alas, that would be only half true, as our new van is actually a 1994 model. Still, the price was definitely right - only $50. That's right, $50. And, as you can see in the pictures, the van includes a TV and VCR. Those alone would run a person $50. So, it is almost as if we bought the TV and VCR and got a van free.

Of course, we couldn't have gotten the car without the kind generosity of the Swans, a couple at church. They are awesome. And now Liz can get out of the house when Ben has the Sonata at work. Even David enjoys the van, as it allows him to actually sit high enough to see out of the windows. He loves it (and for any of you concerned about safety, yes, David does have a car seat).

David's Second Birthday

David's birthday ended with a bang when he got to open his presents before going to bed. David has become extremely conscientious of not spreading his trash around, as can be noted by him handing each scrap of wrapping paper to his daddy. In this video, David is unwrapping his sidewalk chalk. As you can see in the background, David received lots of other awesome presents from his grandparents. He was one happy boy today!

David's Birthday Cake

David had great fun eating his cake. In the end, his bath water turned chocolatey and David required an extra rinsing before he could truly be considered clean.

David's Trip to the Zoo

David celebrated his birthday in style with a trip to the Great Bend zoo. And, like any two-year-old, took advantage of the opportunity to control the world (as seen in the attached video).

Analeigh's Baby Blessing

Analeigh's baby blessing was on 13 April 2008, exactly one month after she was born. A few days later we remembered that we had not taken any photos of her in her blessing dress, so we got her dolled up again and took these lovely shots.
